Description:
MF RC522 Overview:
The MF RC522 is a highly integrated chip designed for 13.56MHz contactless communication, specifically for reading and writing data. It utilizes advanced modulation and demodulation techniques, fully integrating all communication methods and protocols at the 13.56MHz frequency.
This module operates in reader/writer mode, supporting ISO 14443A / MIFARE standards. The RFID module, built with the Philips MF RC522 chip, is ideal for RFID product development. It requires a 3.3V power supply and can be easily connected to any CPU board equipped with an SPI interface.
IC Card Features:
- Memory Capacity: 8KB EEPROM, organized into 16 sectors, with each sector containing 4 blocks (16 bytes per block). Each sector is protected by a unique set of passwords and access control settings.
- Unique Identifier: Each card features a unique 32-bit serial number.
- Collision Protection: Includes an anti-collision mechanism, allowing multiple cards to be read simultaneously.
- Power-Free Operation: The card operates without a power source, thanks to its built-in antenna, encryption logic, and communication circuit.
- Data Longevity: Data retention for up to 10 years, with 100,000 write cycles and unlimited read cycles.
